Daniel Land & The Modern Painters

Daniel Land & The Modern Painters formed in Manchester in 2007 after witnessing a DJ set by the legendary German electronica artist Ulrich Schnauss. Their first album, “Love Songs For The Chemical Generation”, was described by Drowned In Sound as "one of the finest records of its time”, and won plaudits from Rob Da Bank at BBC Radio 1, who said that the band were one that "You couldn't help but feel the late John Peel would have loved". Daniel Land & The Modern Painters were signed to Club AC30 records in 2012, and their second longplayer, "The Space Between Us" was released by the label in May of this year. Daniel also performs alongside Ulrich Schnauss and Mark Peters in the reformed lineup of the band Engineers.
